What Does the Block Rate Include?

At all eight partner hotels, at no additional cost:

  • Room rate at single or double occupancy (double adds NZD 15–25 per night depending on property)
  • Full hot breakfast daily (Indian, continental, and Western options)
  • 24-hour English-speaking front desk
  • Clinic shuttle: complimentary scheduled transfer to and from our clinic for all treatment-day appointments
  • Soft-food meal programme: in-room delivery at recovery stage at no additional surcharge
  • Room upgrade where available on arrival (we request this for all first-visit patients)
  • Late checkout on final day at no charge up to 18:00 local time (subject to availability)
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Access to hotel fitness facility and pool (once clinical clearance permits, typically 5–7 days post-surgery)

What Is the Soft-Food Recovery Pathway?

Post-surgical nutrition affects implant integration and soft-tissue healing. Our partner hotels deliver a 3-tier soft-food programme to your room, coordinated by our clinical team based on your treatment timeline.

Tier A, Days 0–2 post-surgery (liquid and blended):

Room-temperature or lukewarm. No straws. No spicy seasoning.

Typical offerings: blended soups (lentil, tomato, butternut), fruit smoothies (banana, mango, papaya), yoghurt lassi, cooled herbal teas, protein-enriched liquid meal replacements, vegetable juices.

Tier B, Days 2–7 post-surgery (soft textured, no chewing required):

Eaten with a spoon without biting or chewing.

Typical offerings: scrambled eggs, soft-cooked dal, mashed potato, rice porridge (khichdi), soft paneer, well-cooked mashed vegetables, soft idli, rice pudding, custard, ripe banana, baked boneless fish.

Tier C, Days 7–14 post-surgery (full soft diet):

Light chewing permitted; no hard, crunchy, sticky, or fibrous items.

Typical offerings: soft pasta, well-cooked rice and dal, slow-cooked curries with tender meat, soft flatbreads, eggs, soft cheeses, baked fish, steamed vegetables, ripe soft fruit, puddings and custards.

Special dietary requirements: if you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, or have specific allergies (nuts, shellfish, dairy, egg), notify us 72 hours before arrival and we adjust the full 14-day meal schedule accordingly.

What Is the Airport Transfer Protocol?

Hyderabad's international airport (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, HYD) is approximately 35 km south-west of Banjara Hills. Drive time: 35–50 minutes off-peak; 75–90 minutes peak traffic.

Before you land: 72 hours before your flight, we send you the driver's full name, direct mobile number, make/model/colour of vehicle, and a photograph. Save these to your phone. For delays or diversions, notify us by WhatsApp (not email, email is too slow for real-time airport coordination).

At arrivals: your driver waits at the international arrivals exit with a printed sign bearing your name. If you cannot locate the driver within 10 minutes of exiting customs, call the mobile number we provided.

Vehicle: premium sedan (Toyota Camry or equivalent) or SUV (Toyota Fortuner or equivalent). Larger vehicles available for groups of 3+ or patients with mobility needs. Chilled bottled water and light refreshments in the vehicle.

Hotel arrival: hotel front desk is pre-notified of your ETA. Express check-in with pre-registration complete.

For patients travelling alone (approximately 40% of NZ patients for shorter visits): we call your NZ emergency contact within 2 hours of hotel check-in to confirm safe arrival, at your stated timezone-appropriate contact time.

Return transfer to airport: pre-scheduled at discharge. We check your flight time 24 hours before and calculate pickup time based on flight time minus 3 hours (international) minus expected drive time. You receive the confirmed pickup time the evening before departure.

What About Mid-Stay Clinic Transfers?

Scheduled treatment-day transfers: complimentary. Hotel shuttle collects you 40 minutes before your clinic appointment and returns you on completion.

Unscheduled transfers (feeling unwell, wanting to come to clinic between scheduled appointments): phone your coordinator; we dispatch a dedicated driver within 20–30 minutes at no charge.

Personal sightseeing transfers: not part of the clinical programme. Hotel concierge arranges cars at standard rates (approximately NZD 8–15 per hour for an air-conditioned car with driver). We advise all patients to avoid extensive sightseeing during the active treatment window, heat, dehydration, and exertion all adversely affect healing.

How Does Companion Accommodation Work?

Shared room option: companion stays in the same room; we reconfigure to twin-bed or king-plus-rollaway. Additional cost approximately NZD 15–25 per night above single-occupancy rate.

Separate room option: companion takes an adjacent room on the same floor. Full second-room rate at block rate (NZD 145–280 per night depending on hotel tier). Subject to availability.

Split occupancy: some patients prefer a companion for the first 4 nights post-surgery only, then alone for the rest of the stay. We support either configuration. Companions can fly in or out mid-stay without disrupting your booking.

What Should NZ Patients Know About Safety in Hyderabad?

Hyderabad, and particularly the Banjara Hills and Hitec City districts, is among the safer metropolitan areas of India. NZ Safetravel.govt.nz currently lists India at "Exercise increased caution", the second-lowest of four warning tiers, applicable largely to specific border regions not relevant to Hyderabad travel.

Practical guidance:

  • Carry your passport in the hotel safe, not in your wallet. Carry a photocopy and phone photograph for day-to-day identification.
  • Use hotel taxis, hotel-dispatched Uber, or Ola rides rather than street-hailed transport.
  • Carry limited cash; most restaurants and shops near the clinic accept international credit cards.
  • Tap water is not advisable for drinking; hotel rooms provide sealed bottled water (2 litres per day at block rate).
  • Street food is culturally rich but carries gastrointestinal risk post-surgery, confine meals to the hotel or clinic-recommended restaurants during the active treatment window.
  • Register your travel with NZ Safetravel (safetravel.govt.nz/register-your-travel) before departure, free, 10 minutes.

If you have a loyalty programme preference and want to book independently at one of our partner properties (or elsewhere), your coordinator removes the hotel component from their coordination scope. Some patients book the Taj Krishna or Park Hyatt directly for points accumulation. We still confirm your stay dates and room type with the hotel as part of clinical coordination.

Q: What if my room is not ready when I arrive at 03:00 after the overnight flight?

Our pre-registration ensures hotel awareness of your early arrival. All partner hotels hold a room for early check-in for SD patients. In the rare case of a delay, our coordinator is notified and a quiet waiting area is arranged.

Q: Is it safe for a woman travelling alone?

Yes. Approximately 40% of our NZ patients travel alone for shorter visits, and a significant proportion are women. Our partner hotels are in secure commercial districts with 24-hour security. We also add the solo-arrival call to your NZ emergency contact, and your coordinator is reachable throughout the stay.
